# Assignee

Assigning tasks using *Assignee* designates the individual responsible for a specific task or issue. It enhances coordination and ensures that work is efficiently distributed among team members, contributing to effective project management and timely task completion.

### Assign an issue

To assign an issue, click the *Assign* icon on either the issue list or the issue details page and choose a person from the dropdown menu.
